Police Department Auction on Dec. 14

The Seal Beach Police Department’s annual public auction will be at 9 a.m. Dec. 14 in the parking area between the Police Department and the public works yard on Lopez Drive. Residents will be able to view merchandise beginning at 8:30 a.m.

Capt. Gary Maiten said this year’s auction will be the smallest ever held by the department, and expects most items to be sold in about an hour.

Unclaimed bicycles, skateboards, surfboards and other items will be sold to the highest bidder, with no guarantees on the condition of items sold.

Purchasers will be required to pay for their items in full. Personal checks will be accepted, all sales are final and no refunds will be made. All income from the sale will be deposited in the city treasury.
