Gloria E. Rapp; Longtime County Resident
Gloria Elaine Rapp of Port Hueneme, a mother, homemaker and bowler, died Wednesday of natural causes at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard. She was 68.
Rapp was born May 28, 1928, in Dayton, Ohio, and moved to Ventura County in 1945.
Traveling around Mexico with her husband, Arthur, was one of Rapp’s favorite pastimes, as was crocheting.
An avid bowler, Rapp placed third in a statewide competition in 1970 in San Diego.
In addition to her husband, Rapp is survived by daughters Debbie Miller-Wallensack and Yvonne Williams; sons Rick, John, Charles and Tom Miller; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Vernon and Elmer Marriott, and a sister, Evelyn Brown.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the New Harvest Christian Fellowship Church, 831 W. 7th St., Oxnard. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Garcia Mortuary, Oxnard.
