Site--Forum.

Time--7:30.

TV--Fox Sports West.

King update--Last season, the Kings scored 15 goals in five games against the eventual Stanley Cup champions. For the Kings to duplicate their success tonight, they will have to play better than they did in a 2-1 loss to Tampa Bay on Thursday night at the Forum. The Kings managed only six shots in the third period of that game and scored only once in six power plays.

Avalanche update--With the 1-2 scoring punch of Peter Forsberg and Joe Sakic, the Avalanche leads the NHL with 100 goals. Colorado has held a commanding lead in the Pacific Division for most of the season. Goalie Patrick Roy leads the NHL with five shutouts and is yielding slightly more than two goals a game. Before Thursday’s game, the Avalanche had allowed only nine power-play goals in 27 games, a league best.
