Opportunity for Volunteering

Share

The Master Gardener Volunteer Training Program, run by the University of California Cooperative Extension, needs volunteers to work with residents of low-income neighborhoods. The volunteers will help set up community gardens, answer gardening questions on a hotline, work on a newsletter and help elementary school teachers incorporate gardening activities into their curriculum. Volunteers should have some gardening background but will be trained. For more information, call the Master Gardener Phone Hotline at (213) 744-4863.
