Agent Fined and Suspended
Robert Caron, an agent registered with the NFL Players’ Association, was fined $5,000 and suspended for a year by the union.
The NFLPA said Caron was disciplined because of his company’s involvement in the suspension of three USC football players in 1995. The three were found to have received gifts provided by Caron’s representatives.
According to the latest NFLPA lists, Caron of Oxnard, does not represent any NFL players. The suspension means he will not be allowed to be involved in negotiations with NFL teams for a year.
