George D. Buckley; Mechanic, Ojai Resident
Longtime Ventura County resident George D. Buckley of Ojai died Thursday in an Ojai care center after a lengthy illness. He was 82.
Buckley was born Sept. 22, 1914, in Bakersfield and lived in Ojai for 37 years. He had worked as a farm equipment mechanic.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine “Kay” Buckley of Ojai; daughters, Judy Moore of Ventura and Betty Wingate of Ojai; son, Dean Buckley of Ojai; stepson, Hal Moore of Ojai; brother, Fay James of Cambria; sister, Jessie Lantis of Bakersfield; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
At Buckley’s request, no services will be held.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements are under the direction of Clausen Funeral Home in Ojai.
