Lung Assn. Holding Races in January
The American Lung Assn. of Orange County is holding registration for runners and walkers who want to participate in its Southern California Half Marathon and 5K on Jan. 11.
Registration fee is $20 for the half-marathon and $17 for the 5K.
A 2K race will be held for children 6-14. Registration for children costs $13.
The race will start and finish at Woodbridge Village Shopping Center in Irvine.
The course will be on flat, paved roads in the city’s neighborhoods and parks.
A total of $6,000 will be awarded to the top five overall finishers.
Entertainment and refreshments will be provided after the race.
Proceeds from the event will be used for research on lung cancer, emphysema, asthma and tuberculosis.
