A Victory Would Make Knight’s Day

Travis Knight was the Bulls’ first-round pick but was cut for salary-cap purposes before even making a trip to Chicago, when he said he would not go overseas to gain experience.

“I’m not really bitter at them at all,” said Knight, who makes the trip there instead as a Laker for tonight’s game at the United Center. “I talked to Jerry Krause [the Bulls’ vice president of basketball operations] and he explained it to me, that they wanted me to go to Europe. Then again, it wouldn’t break my heart if we went back there and killed them.”

Forward Trevor Wilson, who has been on the injured list because of tendinitis in his left knee since the start of the season, was waived by the Lakers.
