Nine students at Cypress College will be included in the 1997 edition of “Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges.”
A campus nominating committee and editors of the annual directory chose the Cypress students, said Alan Lombardi, a spokesman for the college. He said the selections were based on academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities and potential for continued success.
The Cypress students to be listed in the directory are Suzanne Hughes of Anaheim; Michael Gomez, Peggy Howard and Rick Shellenbaum, all of Buena Park; John Henson of Cypress; Melissa Sokolow of Fountain Valley; Thang Huynh of Garden Grove; Gabriela Reyes of Huntington Beach; and Angela Roberts of Whittier.
