Corona Cartel Wins the Million Futurity

Corona Cartel, the 3-5 favorite, broke smoothly from the gate and ran strong at the end to win the second Los Alamitos Million Futurity at Los Alamitos Race Course Saturday night.

Ridden by Eddie Garcia, the 2-year-old colt covered the 400 yards on a fast track in 19.79 seconds.

Corona Cartel earned $442,000 for his owner, Celina Molina. Our Liquidator finished second and earned $200,400. Whip Hand took home $126,600 for third.
