Northridge can win three games in a row for the first time since January 1993. The Matadors beat winless UC Irvine, 77-53, Saturday night for their first back-to-back victories since the 1994-95 season. Point guard Lucky Grundy, a junior from Santa Monica High, has played his best basketball of the season in the last two games, scoring 15 points Thursday in a 68-57 victory over Pepperdine and 13 against Irvine. Grundy has made 10 of 15 three-point shots and he leads Northridge in assists. Santa Barbara and Northridge have had one common opponent. Pepperdine beat Santa Barbara on Nov. 25 for its only victory.
