Mt. Washington

A 35-acre patch of land, only three miles northeast of downtown on the southwest slopes of Mt. Washington, is L.A.’s newest nature preserve, a living example of the Los Angeles of 200 years ago. This impressive and rare black walnut woodland is where two miles of trail meander through purple needle grass, brilliant red toyon berries and feathery white coyote bushes.
