Students in the Tustin Unified School District will put on a science fair next week, while a bilingual advisory committee will host a presentation on drug awareness.

More than 100 students’ inventions will be on display in the multipurpose room at Tustin Memorial Academy, 12712 Browning Ave., at 6 p.m. on Jan. 8. Projects will be judged by members of the Tustin Public Schools Foundation, district administrators and scientists from Silicon Systems on the basis of originality, research, usefulness, illustration and written description.

The fair is intended to help participants prepare for larger competitions such as Irvine Valley College’s Astounding Inventions of the Future and Invent America, a national contest.
