Duck update--The Ducks have won three consecutive games and have a 16-12-3 record over the last 2 1/2 months but with that 1-9-2 start to overcome, they’re still four games shy of .500. Teemu Selanne has scored in each of the last five games and can break the club record he shares with Mike Sillinger by getting another goal tonight. Goalie Guy Hebert has been the backbone, with a 1.92 goals-against average and a .939 save percentage over the last 20 games.

Flame update--Calgary lost, 7-0, to the Ducks on Dec. 20 at the Pond in a game in which the Ducks set a club record by scoring three short-handed goals and tied another by scoring seven goals. The Flames have struggled much of the season but had won three consecutive games before losing to Florida on Saturday. The Flames’ most effective line has been Dave Gagner centering two rookies, Jarome Iginla and Jonas Hoglund.
