Streep Premiere Planned as Benefit

A benefit premiere of ABC’s upcoming TV movie “. . . First Do No Harm,” starring Meryl Streep, will be held Monday at 7:30 p.m. at the Television Academy Plaza Theatre in North Hollywood.

Streep plays a mother who takes her epileptic son’s treatment in her own hands, enrolling him in a controversial diet treatment. The premiere will benefit the Charlie Foundation to Help Cure Pediatric Epilepsy and the Epilepsy Foundation of Los Angeles and Orange Counties. Streep and director Jim Abrahams are expected to attend, as are other celebrities, including Tracey Ullman, Mark Hamill and Lloyd Bridges. Tickets are $125 and $250.
