The Kings played without two of their most consistent players when forwards Ian Laperriere and Ray Ferraro were not in uniform for Monday night’s 3-2 victory at Calgary because of injuries.
Laperriere sat out Monday’s game because of a hip injury.
Ferraro, who leads the team with 18 goals, missed his first game of the season because of a neck injury.
Dan Bylsma and Dimitri Khristich are the only Kings who have played in every game this season.
Three more Kings left the game because of injuries.
Defenseman Doug Zmolek left because of an irregular heartbeat. He went to a Calgary hospital for treatment and did not return.
Yanic Perrealt injured his back, and defenseman Aki Berg suffered a concussion from a check against the boards by Calgary’s Ron Stern in the second period.
