Police are seeking a second suspect in a home invasion robbery that left a 46-year-old Southwest Los Angeles woman dead and her 16-year-old daughter with a gunshot wound to the head.

Detectives said the suspect is known as “Shoreline” and hangs out on Adams Boulevard near Fairfax Avenue.

The suspect in custody, Carlos Hawthorne, 20, was arrested the day after the August robbery after allegedly making a phony 911 call reporting that he had seen two men fleeing in the victim’s car. Police said Hawthorne had stolen the car from the dead woman.
