Hart Routs Saugus, Wins Foothill Title

The Hart High girls’ basketball team won its 20th straight league game, beating Saugus, 81-27, Thursday night at Hart to clinch the Foothill League title.

Melissa Harrison scored 21 points and Candace Boller had 19 for the Indians (20-5, 10-0), who have won the Foothill title five consecutive seasons.

In other girls’ games:

Thousand Oaks 64, Agoura 34--Jenn Detmer scored 20 points and Lani Harimoto had 12 for the Lancers in a Marmonte League game at Agoura.

The victory gave Thousand Oaks (18-6, 12-2) a share of the league title with Channel Islands.

Buena 48, Dos Pueblos 33--Nicole Greathouse scored 13 points and had 14 rebounds for the Bulldogs (21-2, 14-0) in a Channel League game.

Nordhoff 88, Santa Paula 39--Christen Roper scored 23 points for the Rangers (20-4, 9-1) in a Frontier League game at Santa Paula.

Fillmore 97, Carpinteria 15--April Kozar scored a school-record 46 points and had 28 rebounds for the Flashes (19-5, 9-1), who clinched a tie for the Tri-Valley League title at Carpinteria (0-10 in league play).

Oak Park 54, St. Bonaventure 36--Michelle Frankson had a triple double for the Eagles (11-11, 6-4) with 24 points, 16 rebounds and 10 steals in a Tri-Valley League game at St. Bonaventure (6-17, 2-8).

Village Christian 61, Maranatha 35--Sophomore guard Jennie Greslie had 18 points and seven assists for the host Crusaders (16-9, 10-0), who won their 44th consecutive Alpha League game.

Quartz Hill 52, Littlerock 33--Kenya Corley scored 20 points for the Rebels (18-3, 6-2) in a Golden League game at Littlerock (13-10, 2-6).

Crystal Trumble had 11 points for the Lobos.

BOYS

La Canada 66, South Pasadena 44--Forward Dave Mieding had 19 points and 20 rebounds and Matt Moore scored 19 for the host Spartans (18-8, 8-2), who finished in a three-way tie with Temple City and Blair for the Rio Hondo League championship.

Montclair Prep 82, Light and Life Christian 42--Rocky Steryo scored 23 points for the Mounties (17-6) in a nonleague game.

L.A. CES 70, Sherman Oaks CES 66--Nat Pichaikul scored 26 points for Sherman Oaks CES (12-9, 9-3) in a Magnet League game at L.A. CES.
