Michael Dickerson scored 23 points and freshman point guard Mike Bibby had 17 Saturday night as No. 11 Arizona routed USC, 101-77, ending the Trojans’ five-game winning streak.

The Wildcats (16-6, 8-4 Pac-10) also got 17 points from Jason Terry and 14 from Miles Simon to avenge an earlier 75-62 loss to the Trojans (14-8, 9-4) and knock them out of a first-place tie with UCLA for the conference lead.

Stais Boseman scored 24 points, making four of seven three-point shots, for the Trojans. Elias Ayuso added 11 and Gary Williams 10.

But Boseman also committed six of the Trojans’ 26 turnovers. Arizona forced 28 turnovers in a loss to UCLA on Thursday night.

There was none of the soap-opera atmosphere that surrounded the Jan. 16 game at the Sports Arena, caused by Bibby’s strained relationship with Henry Bibby, his father and USC’s coach.

The Wildcats, who shot 38%t against the Trojans in Los Angeles, shot 59% in the first half and went up 51-36 on Terry’s three-point basket with six seconds left in the period.

A.J. Bramlett, Dickerson and Simon made baskets in the first 1:50 of the second half, giving Arizona a 57-39 lead before the Trojans came back, cutting the margin to 59-50 with an 11-2 run keyed by a pair of layups by Boseman.

But Dickerson had seven points and Bramlett six during a seven-minute, 20-11 surge that opened a 79-61 lead with 7:41 left.

The run coincided with an injury to referee Bruce Hicks, who pulled his right hamstring with 14:52 left and had to leave the game in the hands of the other two referees.

Arizona appeared lethargic at the start, and took only four shots in the first four minutes, missing all of them.

If the Wildcats had lost, it would have been the first time they went 0-4 against the two Los Angeles schools in the Lute Olson era.
