School Breakfasts Topic of Conference
The Orange County Nutrition Council will host a half-day conference Saturday on school breakfast programs.
Barry Sackin, director of food services for Anaheim City School District, and Doris Derelian, past president of the American Dietetic Assn., will speak on promoting good nutrition in schools and the correlation between nutrition and student attention in the classroom.
The conference begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Orange Coast College Forum, 2701 Fairview Road, Costa Mesa. Admission is free for the first person representing a local school and $5 for each additional representative.
