Murray Breaks Out of Slump
Clipper forward Lamond Murray, who’d averaged only 5.2 points in his last four games, had 16, two shy of his season high, in Sunday’s win at Milwaukee.
Given more playing time after Rodney Rogers was dropped from the starting lineup after a dispute with Coach Bill Fitch at Saturday’s practice, Murray made five of 10 shots in 27 minutes. It was the most Murray had played since he got 27 minutes in a loss to the Miami Heat on Nov. 27.

Guard Brent Barry didn’t complain after he was held out of Sunday’s game. It was only the second time this season that Fitch didn’t use Barry when he wasn’t injured.
After explaining that it’s difficult to get upset over sitting out a victory, Barry told a teammate, “You’ve got to be PC [politically correct] on this team.”
Players who complain about playing time usually wind up with less of it.
