School District Shows Artworks by Students
Student art from nine junior high and high schools is on display at the second annual Art Works! show in the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District Educational Services Center.
The weeklong show, which includes paintings, drawings, ceramics and sculpture, ends Friday.
The show is a chance for students, parents and teachers to see what the art programs are doing, said Bill Wright, chairman of the El Dorado visual and performing arts department.
“Even though the curriculum is the same, individual approaches often have an impact on the students’ work,” Wright said.
