Krystkowiak Gets New 10-Day Deal

Share

The Lakers on Wednesday signed reserve forward Larry Krystkowiak to a second 10-day contract.

Krystkowiak played in one of a possible five games during his first stint, two minutes Sunday at Indiana. His biggest contribution should come in practices, something the Lakers have more of coming up as they head into a five-game home stand.

When Krystkowiak’s new 10-day deal expires, the Lakers must either let him go or sign him for the rest of the season.

The NBA reviewed the Elden Campbell-Shawn Bradley confrontation from Tuesday’s 102-92 victory at Dallas, but took no action. Suspensions were not forthcoming since no punches were thrown and no players left the bench, but the league could have fined the combatants, who were ejected.

Coach Del Harris said he doesn’t want to put pressure on any one player to compensate for the absence of Shaquille O’Neal and Robert Horry, but the Lakers are 16-2 (.888) when Nick Van Exel makes at least half his shots and 24-17 (.585) when he doesn’t.
