Deputies Search for Drugstore Robber
Detectives are searching for the man who walked into a Long’s Drugs on Tuesday evening, pointed a gun at a cashier and demanded money.
The Long’s Drugs at 1012 S. Westlake Blvd. was robbed about 9 p.m., said a spokesman for the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department. After taking an unknown amount of money, the man dashed out of the store, he said.
He was last seen wearing a tan coat, black trousers and a black ski mask, authorities said. Witnesses describe him as a white man with dark shoulder-length hair, about 5 feet 7, weighing 160 pounds and between 18 and 25 years old.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Ventura County Crime Stoppers at 494-TALK. Up to $1,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest and criminal prosecution.
