Clipper update--They lead the Suns by three games in the race for the eighth and final Western Conference playoff berth. Brent Barry made a three-point shot with one second remaining in regulation to force a tie as the Clippers defeated the Suns, 122-121, in overtime on Dec. 16 at the Pond of Anaheim. The Clippers have lost five of their last six games, including a four-point loss at Portland on Tuesday night. Forward Rodney Rogers, who had 26 points and three rebounds against the Trail Blazers, has averaged 19.7 points and 4.7 rebounds in his last three games.

Sun update--They have lost nine of their last 11 road games. The Suns are 24-30 since Danny Ainge replaced Cotton Fitzsimmons on Nov. 15. Forward Cedric Ceballos, traded to the Suns with Rumeal Robinson on Jan. 10 by the Lakers for Robert Horry and Joe Kleine, has eight double-doubles this season, including 25 points and 16 rebounds in Tuesday’s loss to the Toronto Raptors.
