Bruins Continue Their Futility in 6-3 Loss
- Share via
The Bruins had their usual luck Thursday night in Boston.
They got Ray Bourque’s 1,000th assist, but they also got whipped, 6-3, by the New York Islanders.
And to add injury to insult, Boston lost highly regarded center Randy Robitaille for the season, 47 seconds into his first NHL shift, when he was checked into the boards and suffered a sprained shoulder.
Robitaille had signed a $1.35-million contract after his college season ended last Saturday.
