The vice president of instruction and student services at Golden West College has been named one of the top three community-college administrators in the state.
Marjorie Lewis received the Administrative Leadership and Excellence award this month for work that included coordinating budget reduction, grant expenditures and instructional leadership at the Huntington Beach college.
The Assn. of California Community College Administrators presented the awards at its annual conference in San Francisco.
“Margie Lewis is one of the finest administrators in the California community colleges,” Golden West President Kenneth Yglesias said. “We are all very proud of the recognition given her by such a distinguished association.”
