Shi, Rusli Reach National Badminton Finals
Top-seeded Cindy Shi of Orange advanced to the championship matches in singles, doubles and mixed doubles of the U.S. National Badminton Tournament Saturday at the Orange County Badminton Club in Orange.
Shi defeated Shannon Hsu of Costa Mesa, 11-3, 11-2, and will face Yeping Zhao Tang of Gaithersburg, Md., in the singles championship match at noon.
Second-seeded Ignatius Rusli of Anaheim Hills advanced to the men’s final with a 15-4, 15-8 victory over Chi-Bing Wu of Forest Hills, N.Y. He will face top-seeded Kevin Han of Colorado Springs, Colo., at 11:15 a.m.
