JetHawks Lose Another One-Run Game to Storm

LAKE ELSINORE — Trent Durrington’s two-out single in the bottom of the 10th drove in the winning run in the Lake Elsinore Storm’s 2-1 victory over the Lancaster JetHawks Monday night at the Diamond.
The JetHawks (6-6) lost their third one-run game in a row to Lake Elsinore. All six of the JetHawks’ losses have been by one run.
Rob Luce pitched six shutout innings for the JetHawks, but the Storm tied the game, 1-1, in the ninth against reliever Joe Victery, combining a single, a bunt, a wild pitch and sacrifice fly for a run.
Left-hander Denny Bonilla (0-3) gave up the run in the 10th, losing for the second night in a row.
Right-hander Aaron Scheffer (0-0, 7.36) will start for the JetHawks at 7:15 tonight in San Jose, beginning a three-game series.
