The Laguna Art Museum is seeking volunteers to serve as museum docents.
The volunteers will be trained in art history and the basic elements of art and will learn how to guide visitors through exhibits at the museum.
The museum’s Docent Council will hold a tea at 10 a.m. May 12 to describe the training program, which will include classes one morning each week from September through May. Docents also may tour other museums and attend programs featuring artists and art curators.
The tea will be held at the museum at 307 Cliff Drive. For more information and to receive an invitation to the tea, call Dorothy Schlom at (714) 643-0633. People are encouraged to call early for invitations.
