The Minnesota Twins, already beset by injuries, lost All-Star second baseman Chuck Knoblauch when he was hit on the forearm by a pitch from Roger Clemens on Saturday night.

Clemens hit Knoblauch on the right forearm in the third inning, two pitches after he had thrown a pitch over Knoblauch’s head. Knoblauch stayed in the game and stole second base, extending his league-leading total to 17.

“We’ll have to see how he is Sunday,” Manager Tom Kelly said.

The Twins, who had lost 13 of 16 going into Saturday’s game, already have two regulars, Marty Cordova and Scott Stahoviak, on the disabled list. Starting pitcher Bob Tewksbury has been scratched from Sunday’s scheduled start after pinching a finger in the door of a bus bathroom during last week’s road trip.
