Fox Executive Quits, Spurring Reshuffle

Share

Bob Greenblatt is resigning as executive vice president of prime-time programs at Fox after eight years in the job and four presidents, clearing the way for Peter Roth, who was appointed head of the Fox Entertainment Group in September, to put his own team in place.

Greenblatt would not say whether he has another job lined up. But speculation has centered on his forming a production company or moving into the feature-film business as an independent producer.

While looking for a replacement for Greenblatt, Roth has promoted several other executives, bringing in Cheryl Bayer from Creative Artists Agency, where she was an agent, as senior vice president of comedy development. Danielle Claman has been promoted to senior vice president of drama development, while Mike Darnell has been promoted for the third time in a year to senior vice president of specials, assuming the additional duties of overseeing the alternative-programming division.
