DODGERS’ CHAN HO PARK (5-3, 3.16 ERA) vs. ANGELS’ CHUCK FINLEY (3-5, 5.40 ERA)

* Update--The Dodgers lost three of their first four interleague games and have lost 19 of their last 28 games. Park is holding opposing batters to a .217 average, fifth in the National League. The Dodgers are 7-4 in Park’s 11 starts and 7-7 in his 14 appearances. Park, who didn’t give up a home run in his first 55 innings and 18 appearances last season, has given up a team-high 12 home runs in 74 innings this season. Eric Karros, who has an eight-game hitting streak, has hit four home runs in his last three games. Catcher Mike Piazza has a nine-game hitting streak. He’s batting .503 with three home runs, five doubles, 10 runs and nine runs batted in in those nine games. First baseman Darin Erstad has an elbow injury and is doubtful for the series. Center fielder Jim Edmonds might move to first, Garret Anderson from left to center and designated hitter Tony Phillips to left. Finley, recovering from a sinus infection, has given up 10 runs and 15 hits in 12 innings in his last two starts, getting a loss at Kansas City and a no-decision at Minnesota. Finley, who has hit several home runs in batting practice, probably looks forward to being able to bat in a game.

* Wednesday 7:30 p.m.--Hideo Nomo (6-6, 3.67 ERA) vs. Dennis Springer (4-2, 5.89 ERA).
