Art Museum Offers Workshops for Kids

The Carnegie Art Museum will hold a monthlong summer art workshop series for children every Saturday through August.

The series, titled Art of the World, is open to children ages 6 through 12 and will run from 10:30 a.m. to noon Aug. 9, 16, 23 and 30.

The museum is located at 424 South C St. in downtown Oxnard.

Each week, the budding artists will explore a new medium and create art and stories inspired by different cultures around the world.

The fee for the four-part series is $32 for museum members and $40 for nonmembers. The cost per class is $8 for museum members and $10 for nonmembers.
