Lighting, Landscaping Levies a Little Lower
Rates for the landscape maintenance and street lighting assessment districts recently established by the City Council are a few cents lower than last year’s.
The citywide street lighting assessment is $29.12 a year for single-family homes, $174.69 per acre for commercial and residential properties, and $8.73 for undeveloped parcels.
There are 664 lights within the street lighting district, with plans to improve lighting on the southeast corner of Alta Vista Street and Kraemer Boulevard.
There are 462 properties within the landscape maintenance district. The annual assessment is $154.38 for single-family homes, $108.07 for condominium units, $1,543.80 per acre for commercial and industrial properties, and $771.90 per acre for undeveloped land.
