Spotlight: L.A., Ontario Airports Reduce Landing Fees
Los Angeles and Ontario International airports said they lowered airline landing fees retroactively to July 1, cutting the operating costs of carriers using the fields. Los Angeles International Airport cut fees 7% to $1.83 from $1.97 per 1,000 pounds of weight. Ontario, 35 miles east of L.A., lowered fees 17% to $1.07 from $1.29.
