Zodiac update--The Zodiac plays the final home game of its inaugural season today. The team has been hurt by injuries and players being called up by the Galaxy, its Major League Soccer parent club. The team has shown occasional signs of vitality, winning three of four early this month, but recently has struggled, losing three in a row, including a 6-1 loss to California Friday in Salinas.

86er update--Vancouver, tied for second with California in the A-League’s Pacific Division, has won four consecutive games, the most recent a 3-1 victory over the Zodiac in British Columbia. The 86ers’ top two scorers, Domenic Mobilo (13 goals, five assists) and Garret Kusch (nine goals, 10 assists), and goalkeeper Paul Dolan are with the Canadian national team.
