New Requirements for MTA Contractors

Share

Contractors and subcontractors competing for Metropolitan Transportation Authority jobs totaling more than $100,000 are now required to complete a 20-page, pre-qualification form.

The 37 questions on the form ask for each company’s background, ownership, certifications and other information. The documents, required by state law and checked by the MTA, will allow the transit authority to ensure that firms doing business with the MTA are ethical and have the financial and technical ability to carry out the jobs.

The form can be obtained by faxing a written request to (213) 922-4105 or by downloading it from the pre-qualification section of MTA’s Web page, which is at https://www.mta.net.
