Two men and one woman from Oxnard were in Ventura County Jail on Thursday awaiting arraignment on various drug charges.

The three were arrested early Wednesday after detectives got a tip that drugs were being sold out of two homes near Kamala Elementary School, an Oxnard police spokesman said.

Another Oxnard man at the scene was taken into custody on unrelated charges, the spokesman said.

After the tip, undercover officers purchased drugs at two residences, and early Wednesday morning a team of police officers served a search warrant on the homes in the 600 block of West Kamala Street, the spokesman said.

Inside, narcotics investigators found 19 bundles of heroin packaged and ready for sale, authorities said.

The investigators also found packaging material, syringes and what appeared to be pipes used for smoking crack cocaine, police officials said.

Arrested were Christine Aley, 37, Richard Aley, 50, and Cyrus Parnell, 25, on suspicion of possession of heroin for sale and narcotics activity within 1,000 feet of a school.

George Plascencia, 35, was arrested at the scene, on a parole violation and an outstanding misdemeanor traffic warrant.
