2 Elderly Passengers Injured in Crash
Two elderly women were listed in guarded condition in a local hospital Thursday after they were injured in a two-car accident on Avenida De Las Flores near Thousand Oaks High School, authorities said.
Sheriff’s officials said that Marghatta Egenberger, 77, of Thousand Oaks, was westbound on Avenida De Las Flores and making a left turn onto North Moorpark Road when her car was hit by an approaching car,
Officials said Egenberger and the driver of the second car, Miglan Solorzano, 18, of Granada Hills, escaped injury.
But Egenberger’s two passengers, Marie Looney, 93, and Majesta Ritter, 89, both of Thousand Oaks, sustained moderate chest trauma, authorities said. Both of the injured women were at Columbia Los Robles Hospital on Thursday night, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
