Church Seeks Donors for HOPE Program
St. Irenaeus Catholic Church is embarking on its 21st annual Helping Other People Every Day program--known as HOPE-- which seeks to help people in need at Christmas.
Organizers are seeking canned goods, fruit and other food donations to fill Christmas dinner baskets given to about 300 families every year.
Toys for children 12 and under also are needed.
The church also is seeking funds to build a central location for the program, which currently operates from a network of garages.
Donations can be dropped off at the church, 5201 Evergreen Ave. Information: (714) 826-0760.
