’ ‘97 Holiday Reading’ to Benefit Kids Cafe

Morgan Freeman, Holly Hunter, Kate Capshaw, Bill Pullman and other guest actors will perform a “ ’97 Holiday Reading” at the Coronet Theatre on Sunday at 5:30 p.m.
The O. Henry-inspired radio show will be followed by stories by Freeman and Capshaw and will benefit the Venice Kids Cafe, at the Coronet Theatre. A post-show reception will be held at 8 p.m.
Guests are invited to bring a small wrapped toy for Kids Cafe children.
The event is being presented by Revelations Entertainment to raise awareness about child hunger in Los Angeles and the efforts of the Children’s Action Network to solve the problem nationwide.
Tickets are $30 to $100; $15 for children under age 15 (show appropriate for ages 9 and up). Information: (213) 660-8587.
