City Marks Birthday With New Web Site
The city turned 8 years old this week and immediately took another step into the future by unveiling its new Internet site.
Pauline Colvin, who oversees the site, described a “wealth of information” on the home page. There are at least 15 locations on the Web site that residents can tap to find everything from phone numbers and community events to a map listing hiking trails.
The city has worked to keep up with technological advances this year by buying laptop computers for the City Council and installing a high-speed cable modem system for Internet access at City Hall.
