There are four dining options at the Getty:

* The high-end Restaurant at the Getty Center offers a blend of California, Mediterranean and Asian cuisine. The restaurant has a full bar, a spectacular view and a mural by L.A.-based artist Alexis Smith. Lunch 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and weekends, 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday; tea, cocktails and appetizers 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, and 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. weekends; dinner 5 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday. Appetizers, $5 to $12; entrees, $8 to $22. Reservations recommended. Call (310) 440-7300.

* Below the restaurant is the casual Cafe: sandwiches, pizza, rotisserie chicken, soup, salad, desserts, beer and wine. You can sit in the open dining room or under an arbor with dazzling views of the Pacific Ocean and neighboring canyons. Lunch 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Entrees, $4 to $8.

* Overlooking the Central Garden is the outdoor Museum Cafe, with a downsized version of the Cafe’s menu. It’s open 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekends. (There are highchairs in both cafes and the restaurant.)
