Rice Likely to Play Monday Night

Jerry Rice received full clearance to resume practice and likely will play for San Francisco against Denver on Monday night. Rice has been sidelined since suffering two torn ligaments and cartilage damage in his left knee in the first game of the season Aug. 31.
Meanwhile, Brent Jones, 34, a four-time Pro Bowl tight end in 12 years with the 49ers, told a Bay Area radio station he plans to retire after this season.
