Augustine Probably Will Miss Next Game

Backup point guard Kevin Augustine has tendinitis in his left shoulder and probably will sit out the Trojans’ next game, against Ohio State on Dec. 20. Shooting guard Elias Ayuso, who injured his shoulder lifting weights Saturday, was upgraded to probable for the Ohio State game.

Augustine has felt soreness in the shoulder since last summer, USC officials said. Senior swingman Ken Sims, who played point guard against Loyola Marymount on Nov. 21 when Augustine was ill, probably will become the backup behind starter Gary Johnson.
