Dance Workshop Grads to Perform

One hundred teen-age students will perform a dance program on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Los Angeles Theatre Center, 514 S. Spring St., downtown.
The program was created in collaboration with members of the Los Angeles’ based dance troupe Diavolo Dance Theatre through an eight-week workshop organized by the HeArt Project, a nonprofit educational arts program.
Participating students came from four Los Angeles continuation high schools and one low-income community center.
In addition to more conventional dance forms, the program will include other means of movement and expression, including spoken word, rap, guitar playing and bicycle riding.
