Woman Found Shot in Trunk of Car Dies

A 32-year-old woman who was shot five times in the chest and found last week in the trunk of a burning car died Monday at County-USC Medical Center.
Dannie Kim, who was believed to be from Walla Walla, Wash., never regained consciousness after being discovered early Wednesday morning in a burned Chrysler LeBaron parked in the 500 block of Osage Avenue, just blocks away from the Great Western Forum in Inglewood.
She was taken to Martin Luther King Jr./Drew Medical Center and later transported to the burn unit at County-USC Medical Center where she died at 6:40 a.m., said Adelaida De La Cerda of County-USC Medical Center.
Inglewood detectives are investigating the murder.
