Authorities Seek Acura Stolen in Carjacking
Police continued to search Monday for a white 1995 Acura Integra taken in a carjacking over the weekend.
Santa Ana police say two men took the car at gunpoint Sunday as the victim was leaving the Mai Chan Auto Accessories store at Euclid and 1st streets, just after 7:30 p.m.
Police declined to release the names of the victims, but Sgt. Steve Despenas said a man and a woman, in addition to the male driver, were in the car.
Despenas said one of the carjackers was armed with a blue-black semiautomatic handgun and fired a single shot in the air as the Acura was driven away.
No one was injured, and police recovered a bullet casing, Despenas said. The license plate number of the stolen car is 3SJD280.
