Disney Tries to Make It a Wonderful World
In your Morning Briefing of Dec. 18, you quote Newsweek’s examination of Disney’s venture into pro team ownership: “What is routine in today’s pro sports game--salary disputes, firings, drug problems--has produced a succession of public-relations debacles for image-conscious Disney.”
It is a sad commentary on today’s society that Disney is being criticized for trying to bring a higher standard to pro sports and refuses to wallow in the mud with other owners and players. Walt would still be proud of the Disney name.
